Coulee Region ONLINE is a community discussion and information site for La Crosse, Wisconsin and surrounding communities including Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, and more.

While we offer general information about the Coulee Region like other local sites, our focus is the people of the community. With forums, blogs, chats, and other interactive features, our goal is to move beyond just giving information and provide a gathering place where people can interact with their neighbors whether they be next door or across the Coulee Region.

A while back, I did a search to find local people on Twitter. At the time, I just added them to my main account. Today, someone mentioned TwitterLocal and, even though his comment was that it "blows", I was curious and checked it out. I found a bunch more local people that way. Read more »

I decided to take a break from all the things I should be doing and work on this site a bit. Last night and a bit today I spent tweaking the front page of the site. There are a few effects on the theme elsewhere but it's mostly the front page. I think it looks cleaner and more professional, now. I want to thank the Drupal themer folks who lent me their designer eye to help get it into better shape. There still are some theme issues here and there on the site but, overall, I think it's looking pretty good. Read more »
